We are seeking talented and enthusiastic postdoctoral researchers to investigate beta-cell proliferation, regeneration, transdifferentiation, and protection from autoimmunity.
A postdoctoral fellow position is available for immediate application in the Yi Laboratory at Joslin Diabetes Center, affiliated with Harvard Medical School.
Our whole-genome loss- and gain-of-function screens have uncovered candidate genes, signaling pathways, and mechanisms underlying beta-cell transdifferentiation, type 1 diabetes onset, and beta-cell tolerance of autoimmunity. The successful candidate will investigate how these targets work and may design new CRISPR screens addressing compensatory beta-cell growth and function.
The laboratory is supported by NIH, JDRF, and private foundations. Institutional postdoctoral fellowships and NIH training grants are available through Joslin Diabetes Center.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in genetics, molecular or cellular biology, or a related field
- Experience with molecular cell biology and animal-study methods
- Established publication record
- Clear communication and strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
